Checking things as I go, I have headlights, horn and rear hatch release button, nothing else. I have no power to the positive stud on the under hood fuse panel. That has to be a clue of some kind.

I am getting power to fuse panel under hood and to starter, I didn't have a good ground when checking with my tester. Possibly ignition switch?

Saying it has power or the battery is "good" doesn't really mean much. You need to take some voltage readings and post them up here.

No power to the under hood fuse box, then inspect the maxi fuse in the spare tire well , back by the ground bolt!

It’s the maxi fuse

Ok, then why won’t it start? Something, somewhere is not connected, or is not functioning correctly. Seeing as you where working on the car , then inspect the work area, possibly inadvertently you knocked something loose, a ground wire? Or as you said the ignition switch has failed.

Almost think a ignition switch, girl at Advance Auto suggested that, if they had one I would have bought it at $36. I was not near anything working on the rust, front left jacking point behind the front tire. I suppose there is no way to test that switch?

That is, however, near the fuse block. I wonder if the positive cable runs through that frame rail?

The maxi fuse supplies power to the BCM. Does not have anything to do with the underhood fuse box. However, check it.

None of the wires run in channels; all are under carpet.

Driver side wheel well under the hood is where a main ground point lives.

If this was last century the ignition switch would be directly wired to the starter solenoid. This century the switch is a sensor for the BCM.

Are you using a key with the + in a circle stamped on it?
