Need Help car dead key stuck in on position.
Have you tried jump starting it? It is possible that the battery can read good with a multimeter but have a dead cell that won't start the car. AutoZone in my area will take the battery, charge it, and test it and tell you if it is good or not. Do not assume that just because the battery is newish that there is nothing wrong with it. They come with warranties for a reason.
#8 and #10 are the 2 fuses that control the Passkey3 security system, which is the system that seems to be activated/inactivated. I think you said the security lock & key icon was lit?
When you removed the trim around the steering wheel you may have upset some wires. BTW, look in your Owner Manual a see where the handy little door to the key unlock button is.
