Need third brake light access
Yeah, I didnt like the LEDs, created "hot spots" and didnt light up as full as the regular bulbs.
Pulling the trim off can break it if not done correctly. Start with one of the outer clips and try to pop them one at a time. If you just grab one side and try to yank the whole thing off, it will bend and break.

I was fortunate. Thanks to this forum I managed to get the third brake light lens off and on without a problem. I found by pulling on one side of the plastic molding, then the other, then pulling straight out from the center, it pops off easily. There are four clips holding the molding in place.
I finally installed the "STOP" overlay along with a Blinking Third Brake Light Module. When you apply the brakes, it causes the third brake light to blink six times before entering into a steady Brake Light ON condition. And if you hit the brake again within eight seconds it will not blink so as not to drive the person behind you crazy in heavy traffic.
