power steering fuse under the hood keeps blowing several times a day. any ideas????? please help......

 

Repeated fuse blowing is usually an indication that the power steering motor is failing, when they go bad, the current draw from the motor can exceed the rated amperage of the fuse...then "pop" you've blown another one.

Have you been getting any power steering fault messages on the DIC?

 

messages do display.....usually the radio cuts out first, the i lose all power to EVERYTHING in the car.

 

Yeah that's a bigger problem than the power steering by the sounds of it, if you want to, send me a PM with an e-mail address and I can send you the wiring diagram for one of these critters and the troubleshooting section of the service manual in PDF form. Can't attach them here on the forum, they exceed the file size limits, and a few other things.
