New brakes

Waited until I had no choice, new pads, turned rotors and brake splash guards done under warranty and had the recall done too. Lets see how long they last this time as I am usually pretty hard on brakes anyway.

I checked it out today, the splash guards are behind the rotor, they were not on before, as big and wide spread as a problem this is I bet they will fix them, I called and they knew exactly what the problem was, so let the dealer know that you know it is a big problem on the HHR.

The 30K should be no problem. I just got my front rotors resurfaced (for the first time) by the dealer and I have almost 31K miles. They also said that when they pulled up on the parking brake handle at about 50mph there was a pulsing, so they replaced the rear drums also.

Doing something else

Shouldn't have been that must have been something else. You can do J-turns and bootlegs without using the emergency brake and you can do them all day at 35mph max. They had to be doing something else and having fun putting flat spots on the tires.
