I read the forums about water leaks and could not find one that is similar t0 mine, it is located on the removable piece above the driver on the front pillar (check picture, circled in blue). I remove the piece and there is water, it is an 06 no moonroof. Any ideas? Car not under warranty.

 

Windshield leak? Has the windshield been replaced?

 

Leave the cover off & hit the windshield with the water-hose & check it..

 

I would remove that round cover and also the pillar trim piece and inspect it, maybe run it that way for a while. Its just the one torx screw under the cover, then slide it up a bit and out, the tweeter can then be unplugged.
Im also guessing the windshield seal is the culprit.

 

When I had mine repaired a few months back by Safelite, I was told by the repair tech that the HHR is notorious for springing leaks around the top and sides of the windsheild. This is the first I've heard of it from any HHR owner.

 

Does your HHR have a sunroof? If so, drain tube connection could be the culprit.
