New wheel bearing noise
I go the the Buick/GMC dealer when Have to, I will not go to the Chevy shop. Their Tech2 guru was an idiot too, but he did get on the phone to tech support, it just took 2 hours instead on 20 minutes.
And they have a window in the service bay, so I can tell if they are playing games. I could see him on the telephone.

Yeah boys I don't get it. I shouldn't have to worry about things like that. Now I'm worried about the Axle nut and whether or not it got torqued properly. But it's obvious to me that they don't want to be questioned about it or even own up to it. I'm just some other idiot to them. You're right too Silverfox, no valid excuse. So, whatever. It seems like evrything is ok with the repair still. We'll see how it goes.

Just "Hang onto your Paid service invoices" from ALL the repairs done so you will have a case if all goes bad again.
And also remember that all mechanical work done @ a GM dealer is Warrantied for 12 months.
That Warranty can be honored at any GM Dealer if you do not want to go back the Original Idiots.

Ok, thanks SF. I have kept all of the paperwork. I actually thought about calling or emailing GM customer service over the lug nuts. I'm still disgusted over that garbage. I don't know yet though.
I wanted to provide an update for this thread because maybe it will help someone troubleshoot down the line if they run across this it. Anyway, after all that has happened with the wheel bearing replacement and the humming noise and then the shaft replacement, I have been driving around quite a bit. The humming noise is still there...Not as bad as it was originally, but it is there. I have also noticed that when I start out driving that the front brakes grind and then goes away. I have come to the conclusion that for whatever reason the pad(s) is riding in the rotor going down the road and glazing it. causing the noise. Anyone ever run there finger around the rim of a crystal wine glass? try it. It sings and I think in theory that is whats happening to my rotor. So, I don't know if the calipers are sticking or if I need to replace pads and rotors now. Rotors have been turned once and I resurfaced the pads at that time. Also, I wanted to asked why my new dealer installed axle makes a knock sound when I go from drive to reverse or reverse to drive. really nice.

Here is a TSB, I seem to remember another one concerning putting a washer on the outside end of the shaft, before the hub.
I looked at the pads not too long ago and they seemed ok and like they still had wear left in them. Probably a caliper I guess. Yeah George, I meant re surfaced and not replaced. Thanks for the TSB Don
