No AC

My AC stop working ! Only Hot air coming out of vents. Normally a light comes on that is above the fan speed control knob. This light does not light up.

I believe the system has enough Freon. Anybody had this happen ?

Need to pull the codes first. Certain CEL's or non visible codes can shut down the AC function.

Too much pressure can shut the A/C down too.

If the light isn't coming on, I'm thinking electrical. Like OB said, check fuses and relays. Interior fuse block, #10, #16, #30. Underhood fuse block, #9, #15, #22. If those are all good, get your codes read, your local auto parts store, or jiffy lube, etc. may be able to read them.

I have checked the fuses and relays. I am going to remove the panel that has the AC controls to check it out.

Before that go to your local parts palace, like say AutoZone or O'Reilly's and get the codes pulled, then just post the code numbers here.

These are known for low pressure switch failure. Check the system pressure. If it's at least 40 psi, check Item 10 in this drawing.
