The BCM turns the indicator LEDs on. Fuse #10 on the BCM. Is the security light on the dash working?

FYI. 40.9 psi is too low, providing AC off and high/low sides are equalized.
You should have a static pressure of around 100-110 psi. with a full charge.

The low pressure switch was bad. I obtained on locally.

Thanks for that followup. Glad you were able to find that part of the problem.

Based on your earlier post of static pressure, you may still have a low Freon issue. Have you hooked up your AC gauges and rechecked the working pressures ?
How's it cooling ? If it's not blowing around 40-44 F. on max cooling while on the road, then you may need some Freon added.

Sorry I didn't get back to you. I should have said that the switch should be closed and can be checked with an ohmeter. It should read close to 0 ohms. A quick test is to remove the plug from the switch and put a jumper wire in the plug terminals. If the compressor clutch closes, the switch or low system pressure is your problem. There is a schrader valve under the switch so it can be removed without losing refrigerant.

At least the information is available for future use.
