Fox Hat.... This is an original battery that has served me well. We are checking fuses and getting a new battery today. We did charge the old one and it appeared to have power in it... I.e. Headlights, info bar , radio etc, but still no crank. Hoping its not gonna cost hubby lots to fix. I've read the manual.....

 

Tell him don't go cheapo, and get the correct size battery for the HHR !!! My AAA battery was $115.00 back in April 2010, installed, so if you have CAA call them.

 

Replaced the power steering fuse. Checked all further fuses. All ok. Checked battery power. 12 volts. Wouldnt start. Checked everything again and the car started! Now engine lite is on and my remote start isnt working. 😩

 

No one has addressed this yet, is this significant?

 

Remote will not work with a MIL or CEL on , have the code pulled and post it here, please

Remote Start inop with a CEL is normal. Why should remote start work if there is a CEL on? CEL CAN mean there is something critically wrong, and attempting to start it could damage the vehicle further. It won't start out of design.
