Everytime I apply the brakes I hear a hollow grinding noise. Last week the dealer had the service dept. look for a brake squeek. I arrived late for pickup and stated that I did not report a squeek, but a grinding noise. Service writer admitted hat he wrote it up incorrectly, after a song and dance about cleaning the dust out of the rear drums.

I informed him that I had painted the drums 3 days prior, and had washed down the rear brakes with brake cleaner.

To the point... he rode with me and stated that the noise was not right, and the car goes back in on Friday morning.

I figure rotors, wheel bearing or tires. Anyone else hear a dull grinding when braking.?

I don't hear a grinding but I do hear what sounds like a rattling coming from the front driver's side wheel. I sounds like ABS but I don't get the ABS pedal feel if that makes any sense.

It doesn't sound like what you're describing and I'm not sure what it is.
