P0013

I went a route a little different, for those who don't know....
if you have OnStar you can (in your car) request an on demand diagnostic test. I had my CEL come on last week but my remote start still worked, after starting the car with the remote the CEL went out. I thought all was good, this morning the CEL is back on, remote start doesn't work...so back to the drawing board. I went online at OnStar and they told me about the on demand diagnostic test, so I did it, talk to a diagnostic tech and got a code P0013.

P0013 - Exhaust Camshaft Position (CMP) Actuator Solenoid Control Circuit

any ideas what the heck this is....

Simple..... See the bolded in you post. The Exhaust Solenoid is bad. Common problem, thanks to GM "quality". Easy replacement.

Check out this thread - the whole thread, especially towards the end where updated part numbers are noted: https://www.chevyhhr.net/forums/how-tutorial-library-21/camshaft-position-actuator-solenoid-valve-replacement-w-pics-p0010-11-p0013-14-a-28779/

the SEARCH button towards the top would have led you to the thread, as well as a number of others.

Using my psychic powers, and checking his profile, allows me to say with certainty that he owns a 2008 2LT Panel with a 2.4L Ecotec.

And as whopper and JoeR have pointed out, its a relatively straightforward repair as outlined in the thread linked up by whopper in post #3.

Thanks for your most knowledgeable replies, I did manage to find the post on the repair. Yes, it does seem to be an easy fix, and I might as well change out both the intake and exhaust solenoids while I'm there.....but first I'm going to see if it's covered under warranty, I'm still under the power train warranty with just under 52000.
G'day to you all....I keep meaning to post some pics, it's stock but it's mine....

If you still have power train warranty, it will be covered. Best of luck.
