P0014 Code 2011 HHR

About 6 ms. ago I got a P0014 code and I replaced both the the camshaft solenoid valves. All good.
Yesterday the P0014 code appeared again. Hhr has 125K miles on it.
HHR is due for an oil change so going to start with that.
Any ideas or comments are helpful.
Thanks

Welcome, the timing chain is stretched and or the front guide is broken

This was enough to trigger P0014 in my 2011 2.4

I took the neg. off to reset the computer to see if the code came up again. And, there it is 2 codes P0014.
I am hoping it is the connections but you may be correct - the timing chain!
I am taking it to my trusted shop Tuesday to get a proper read out.
Thanks

If the timing chain has jumped, further operation of the engine could destroy it. If you have the ability, remove the valve cover and take pictures of the timing chain and camshaft sprockets. Post them here, we'll see if we can help.

I am not able to do that ... but drove it to the grocery store after I reset the computer & the codes came up after about 7 miles. Milage avg, is still 22/23.
My mechanic is about 5 miles from me.

Best of luck to you, I hope there has been no valve to piston contact or damage. Please let us know what the shop finds.

Hell if y’all lived closer and the border was open, I be right over to change the chains for you! But 1,200 miles is a bit of a drive and the border is still closed.

Update...
Did the oil change...Still got the codes.
Out of caution had the car towed to the shop.
Ran the complete
diagnostic and kept getting irregular readings only on the cam actuator solenoid.
When I replaced them i used NAPA.... Maybe I got a dud...This time I am going to use AC/Delco. Replace both.
Took the valve cover off & chain looks good!!!

Also noticed small valve cover leak so will replace the gasket.
I use Schaeffer's 5w30 - the engine looked clean!
