Your welcome! Just not trying to throw parts at it. You ever hear of the valve cover port getting clogged up before? Wish I could spray something in it to see if that would work. But air hose nozzle didn’t do much like I said and got stuffed up again. That’s exactly why it stutters for a few seconds upon start out just like a hose loose.

I had a friend here who run a quart of Marvel mystery oil thru until his next oil change , that cleaned it out!

RJ even in cold temps and driving for a short distance the engine should see 180 quickly? I’ve never paid attention to how quick the temps ever got up in the past.

No , no vapour.
My 2.4 takes about 10 minutes to get to 180 degrees when it’s 24 F outside.

I just took radiator cap off and started it and no coolant flowed so it’s not a stuck open thermostat so could be staying closed maybe. But dang if it heats up in 10mins then that’s a issue with mine for sure!

So sounds like I need marvel oil and a thermostat.

An AC Delco 131-158 180 degrees thermostat! And fresh Dexcool 50/50 mixed!
