If your scanner can monitor live data, I would monitor the O2 voltages, A/F ratio, and long/short term fuel trims to be sure it is running right. If you see negatives in the fuel trim, that indicates a rich condition the car is compensating for, and positive numbers mean lean. You always want to be more rich than lean. Threshold for code setting is -25 or thereabouts for fuel trim rich condition. Numbers are a representative of the percentage of fuel being added or taken away to achieve that yummy 14.7/1 air fuel ratio.
Unfortunately, I don't think my Innova 3100j does live data.
Possible solutions include: Inspect all vacuum and PCV hoses, replace if necessary Cleanthe MAF sensor. Consult your service manual for it's location if you need help. I find it's best to take it off and spray it with MAF sensor spray. Make sure you are careful not to damage the MAF sensor, and make sure it's dry before reinstalling Inspect fuel lines for cracks, leaks, or pinches Check the fuel pressure at the fuel rail Check the fuel injectors, they may be dirty. Use fuel injector cleaner or get them professionally cleaned/replaced. Check for an exhaust leak before the first oxygen sensor (this is unlikely to cause the problem, but it is possible)

Maf has been cleaned multiple times. I'm not seeing any leak between the first 02 sensor and the engine, I've inspected that multiple times.
The car has less than 80k on it, I've inspected the vac lines in the engine compartment and see nothing. I've sprayed carb cleaner around all vac lines while running with no change in idle.
A leak causing P0172 would be between the MAF and the #1 O2 sensor.
Fuel pressure should be 50-60 PSI, measured at the Schrader valve on the fuel rail.
You might have a bad injector.
Have you changed gas stations? Alcohol content could cause it.
