P0172 Code- Help Please

The more cost effective thing to do is replace the injectors, cleaning and rebuilding usually are a waste of money. You can get a set of injectors and seals for about $100, last I looked BG44K was around $40.
The bluish color of the old O2 sensor could indicate somebody has used silicone products that got into the combustion.

Car has never been apart as far as the silicone. Only thing done to it is what you have seen here, and 2 sets of front hubs.
I can triple check the gasket again. I have a friend with a lift that I may just drive it out there for a thorough inspection.

He has fuel pressure gauge as well. I'll report my findings, just gonna take a bit before I can get over there.

Quick update
What? Not sure what you mean here.
Current update (I haven't checked the fuel pressure yet). But, the BG44k added and the clearing of the code has kept the code off for the moment. I did purchase a new fuel pressure gauge, and will report my findings.

Okay, a little addition to all of this and some updates.
After the BG44k, everything was fine for quite some time. No CEL, no issues.
The other day, my wife called an said the car drove fine to work, then wouldn't start to come home for lunch. Grabbed my jump box and code scanner and headed to her job.
Jumped the car, it chugged but started. CEL light on. Checked light, P0172 still there.
I've went over the starting system and everything seems kosher. But when starting after sitting all night, it would CHUG to get fired up. Sometimes the remote start wouldn't even be enough to get it fired, and had to lay on the key a bit further. I also noticed a fuel smell after starting.
SOO- I've cleared the code and it returned again.
I replaced the rear evap canister, as it only takes 3 friggin seconds and 30 dollars. Cleared code.
Still have a chugging upon start and fuel smell.
Fuel Pressure- Key On, No start 53psi.
I'm guessing maybe a leaky injector now? (This is something we bounced around with before)
Would that cause the chugging for a few seconds on cold start/hard starting? After it runs for a minute, it's been fine.

Should add, it's been cold around here. I know the ECM should add additional fuel for the cold start. I don't see any leaky lines anywhere, and no evidence of any fuel spillage. All of the fuel smell is coming from exhaust.
