P0300 Code - rough idle
The P0014 is pointing toward bad chain and/or guides. They would not have looked at the chain unless told to. The valve cover needs to be removed and visually look at the chain; any slack between the sprockets is bad.
You might check local independent shops and ask what their hourly rates are.

As is often the case, the expense of not fixing the car may be worse than the expense of fixing it. These forums are pretty good at helping minimize repair costs, especially long-term. Sometimes, people jump to an expensive chain job too quickly, but if easily checked causes of chain symptoms yield no relief, the options are to do it, trade it, or gamble. It's prolly possible to get someone to do it for $800:or so with parts but it won't be easy.
I'm still skeptical of a jumped chain but that won't stop me from recommending a chain job, based on the risks, and the possibility that a bad phaser is the cause of the code.
I don't know why a reputable mechanic would charge more for solenoids than Jiffy Lube. Did they offer while-you-wait? That would be pretty cool.
(And I'm not deriding quick Lube places. Some of them are owned by serious competent mechanics, but other are just pirates. (I once walked away from a quick lube joint because they were prepared to sell me a full synthetic job but couldn't prove they had a drop of the stuff in the whole place. They also became known for sham transmission Lube jobs.)
You could try a $2 bottle of generic injector cleaner for the rough running. Has worked remarkably well for me more than once.
Cleaning the MAF sensor should be dirty cheap. Throttle body too, but easily bungled.
If you mention if the MAF sensor was properly plugged in or if you did an oil change, I missed it.
You seem to be in a tough spot financially that I'm no stranger to. Please know that my comments are good faith efforts to try to help, and I can't possibly know anything about the car or anything else that you haven't disclosed.

I don't know why a reputable mechanic would charge more for solenoids than JL. Did they offer while-you-wait? That would be pretty novel.

These forums have always been helpful for me. Maybe some other HHR user with a similar problem will find this thread useful.
The P0366 is for camshaft position sensor, doing its job sensing the camshaft is out of time with the crankshaft.
the timing is out , stop driving it and replace the timing chain before the valves and pistons become kissing cousins and damage the engine.
