I replaced all four injectors ordered thru RockAuto

https://www.rockauto.com/en/catalog/...+injector,6224

I did not need to reprogram the ECM , I did disconnect the battery negative terminal cable while swapping out the injectors

It does not say it won't run if you don't reprogram. It says the repair is incomplete, if you had the problem the TSB is responding to. There are other possible reasons for P1174.
Different injector part numbers have different tables FOR OPTIMUM PERFORMANCE. You might not notice a difference of 2 parts per million..
The updated part number for 2006&2007 is listed at the bottom of the TSB.

Perhaps mine wasn’t that problem, but well worn injectors, 10 years old and 225,000 miles.

thanks don and old blue for your guys help ... when this happen my wife was putting in cheap gas and took off with gas cap off and then realized it and pull over and put it back on , then the light came so I told her it might the gas cap being off ... well the code was p1174 .. anyway I went out today check the gas cap it seem loose so I tightened it and started the car the motor didn’t look shakey check the exhaust didn’t smell like gas runs good .. so would be better to get the updated injectors which calls for 2008 hhr 2.4 or go back with the original injectors ? I really don’t want to go to dealer to program .. and I looked at the fuel rail the number I wrote down was 12586243 but that calls for ecm .. just trying to figure out what stock injectors I have for 2007 lt 2.4 .. sorry for long post and have to take it to the shop and have it checked out because it too them cold here in Chicago...

Don’t try to reinvent the wheel, stay with the correct injectors follow the superseded parts number.

Don, I figured out the mystery of my injectors, the dealership replaced and updated the software, under warranty about 6 months before I purchased the HHR.

I keep getting 1174's but only when it snowed real hard and was pushing thru said slush on the highway. Its been popping randomly for the last year and I just clear it for another month but this last month its come on four times, may be time to give in and toss a set of 2008 injectors in this beast.

mine keeps coming on in about 60 miles cleared the codes .. I going to have the plugs changed and take to a shop have them read live data .. the car starts right up no problem just might be vacuum leak somewhere or the o2 sensor before the cat it is something stupid.. can be a injector .. like I said I get no miss fire code to point to which cylinder it is ..

Could be #1 O2 sensor.

The way thy work is by comparing ambient air to combustion air; it gets the ambient air sample from the tiny gap between the wire and the entry hole. If that hole gets clogged things get wacky.
Could be flex pipe.
Could be any tiny vacuum leak including injector O-rings.
