The autozone web site has repair guides that can help you. I have not changed one in the hhr's but have done other models.

There are two just too the right of the gas pedal under the dash and one on the passenger side by the air bag. According to the repair guides the passenger side one requires removing the dash.

Visited the Autozone website & searched videos for an HHR blend door actuator video - didn't find/see one. Do you have the link?

not on the HHR's, there is only about 1/8" of space... something has to come out and that's what Im trying to find out otherwise Ill have it done.... looks impossible.

Actuator blend door

I have a chevy hhr 08 and i am having this issue with plastic part that opens and closes the actuator door. The plastic pole part broken in half. I've been told I need to remove the dash most of it. Which I think is so much work to do for a broken plastic part.

Look at the diagram that lucky provided above. Which actuator are you asking about, #4, #5, or #6? Then look at the part name in the lower left corner of the diagram.

Looks like the mode actuator, from your photo.

But it looks like the broken part is the larger housing? Is that correct?
