po172 error code

i have a 2011 hhr 19,ooo miles i had a code &replaced fuel cap 1 week later i now have a new code po172=fuel trim system rich.is this item something i can fix on my own or do i need to take it to dealer ship.as i have an OBD2 SCANNER &RAN THE CODE,will the dealership still want to charge me $100 to run a diagnostic code ?when i already know the error code.any help sorting this issue out would be greatly appreciated.

A vacuum leak is most common. That would include the EVAP valve under the hood.

The ECM interprets the extra air as a lean condition, so it adds more fuel to the mixture, which causes the "too rich" condition. Aren't computers a kick in the head?
