Hummmm, that does make it mite more complex - maybe. Firemangeorge is likely right about the ground. I think that is where I'd start.
And, stop looking for a BREAK light! They are BRAKES! If you read my previous post you would already know where to START looking, it has something to do with your BRAKE lights not working, so start with the ground wires around the BRAKE lights, then the brake pedal position sensor (pedal switch, in old timey talk). I had a bad day and one coming up, sorry.
The obvious! You will need several fingers and at least one eye. Look for any wire that looks like it should connect to the body/frame/engine. Sometimes the bolt or screw gets loose, sometimes the wire breaks, sometimes the wire gets too corroded to do it's job.
