My '06 had similar symptoms, and after a couple days in the shop, they decided it was a faulty circuit board. They sent out for a new computer, and hopefully I'll have my car back sometime Monday. The tech said he's only seen the problem so far in '06 models.

Since the fix I mentioned above, I have something like 20,000 miles and no further issues on mine.
