Power steering error but still have power steering???
While there are some very astute and experienced parts store counter clerks, not everything they say should be taken as infallible knowledge.
Take a good listen to your engine after starting it for the first time in the morning, unless you hear clattering/slapping/snapping sounds from the engine, your timing chain should be just fine for many miles to come.
If, on the other hand, you're hearing any odd noises from the front(passenger side)of the engine, you may need a new timing chain tensioner. There's an excellent "How To" thread hear explaining that repair, if needed.

I wouldn't think you need to replace the timing chain at 63,000. If you are getting a start up noise here is some info on an improved timing chain tensioner https://www.chevyhhr.net/forums/how-tutorial-library-21/timing-chain-tensioner-replacement-fix-engine-rattle-46159/
