Go to a different dealership. The extended coverage of the electric power steering motor is covered

I did, they said the same thing, so I called GM directly and they said it was not covered under my VIN it would be out of pocket.

Somebody must be relaying wrong info.
Bulletin 14115 covers model year 2004-2007 Saturn Ion, 2009-2010 Chevrolet HHR and 2010 Chevrolet Cobalts. Dealers will replace the EPS motor.

GM looked and said no mine wasn't my build date is 4/10/10. I don't know if that build date makes a difference.

The part is on eBay and Amazon for $75-$90. No brain surgeons or rocket scientists needed for installation.

Maybe it was replaced previously, with the same bad part.

The Flat rate is 1 hour, The entire steering column assembly is $375, the motor is around $100 retail.
Nice job $229 per hour.

Are you sure they where looking at Bulletin # 14115, not #14119 that only covers up to a certain early production.

Bulletin 14115 covers model year 2004-2007 Saturn Ion, 2009-2010 Chevrolet HHR and 2010 Chevrolet Cobalts. Dealers will replace the EPS motor.
Bulletin number 14119 will be implemented for model year 2006-2008 and early production of 2009 Chevrolet HHR (non-turbo) and model year 2003 Saturn ION to provide EPS Motor replacement for the life of the vehicle.
Oh well, done now.

I will, GM said that a senior advisor would contact me 24-48 hours, I will push for coverage! They should have extended this warranty to all HHR's.

They said it could depend on Date of build, and plant it was built, mine was built in Mexico.

They won't get away easy saying no.

I read over 100 complaints on this very defect, and all but one was not covered. That should say something.

Rant over, LOL
