power steering went out after jump start

Hi. I have a 2007 chevy hhr. I recently left the lights on and needed a jump. After it was jumped from the front of the car the power steering would not work. I took it to my chevy dealership and they fixed the recalls on it. Once that was Done it still didn't work. I changed the interior fuse 2 amps and the outside fuse 60 amp (EPS). My power steering Stull will not work. I have an appointment for next Tuesday but I would like my car to be fixed sooner if possible. Thanks

Where did you hook up the cables? Did you follow the directions in the Owners Manual? Or, did you assUme that the 2 terminals on the fuse box are + & - (WRONG).

Do you mean fuse #1 under hood? You may have fried a connection inside the fuse box, there are 2 halves of it.

Owners Manual available from the link in my sig.

Page 320 in the 2007 Owners Manual.

Welcome to the site.

Did you change the fuses because they were blown ? Or just tried changing them to see if it would fix it.
If they were blown, it would be an indication that the jump start was done incorrectly.
As donbrew stated, if you jump started it wrong, there could be more damage done than the fuses.

Welcome to the site! The power steering motor should be addressed at no cost to you, GM sent letters out a few years ago.

I had this problem,
and also after trying to "give light".
I confirm that the damage does not extend beyond the fuse №1.
Visually fuse looks like a yellow cube with a small window at the top. Just replace it.
