Radio goes Physco...

Started the Car this morning to the Radio sounding like someone is beating Drums inside the car.Turn the radio off noise is still there.

Put the Car in drive and started my way to work, Noise stopped aslong as i had the radio off. Every Single time i used the turn signal Noise came back still driving with the Radio off Mind you. Everytime i tried turning the radio on nothing almost like the Radio was dead. Get have way to work decent to try it again, turn the radio on and now its working normal.

This isn't the first time it has done it either, although this is the longest it has lasted about 10min's. It has done it a few other time's all i have done is turn the radio off and turn it back on and it stops.

Not sure if its some sort of Static in the System or the radio is bad.

Car is starting to wear thin dealer had it last week for 5 Days. Due to my "Theft" Module being bad and the car not relearning my new Key Fob.

I would have the battery load tested. When my battery went bad it made crazy things happen after start up. eletrical systems don't know what to do when battery voltage go's below 9 volts when cranking in the morrning.

Does it sound like this?

Also, have you noticed if this happens when on the XM band, or does it also happen on FM or AM?

Yes actually same thing, Its only in FM/AM that it happens i don't have XM.

Mine is also a 08'

Maybe i'll bring it up to the dealer tomrrow before i start arguing with them. Considering i am getting charged almost 200 Bucks for a rental because they couldn't fix my car and had to order parts under warranty.

I took mine in for this and they suggested that the radio would need to be removed and sent away for repair.

I haven't bothered to go in again though to initiate this process

man i thought policy was if the car needed a part and it was under warranty the dealer (warranty ) would provide a rental. I am not sure if this is correct now I am going to have to go find all the warranty info but I do know it says something about a rental due to warranty repairs

This is True. HOWEVER if the part or parts do not effect the operation of the Vehicle no rental has to be given.

Right now i rather have not gotten a rental when my HHR was in for the Key Fob issue along with the Theft Module not excepting the keys. Consider Enterpise is trying to charge me $193 Bucks! Needless to say im fighting with them on that one.
