my 2010 with 17,000 miles was making a knocking noise when breaking that sounded like it was coming from the rear end. I took it in to the dealer and they said it was brake dust? They did a "scrubbing" and it cost me $36. Solved the problem. I don't know it sounded kind of strange to me but if it fixes it then I guess whatever? *shrugs*

Did you ever locate a Chevrolet service bulletin on rear brake noise.
