The console buttons don't work if the driver door is locked. Could that be it?

I read all the replies back then, but it is not a problem with the remote, key fob, it's a problem with the three dash buttons! And one reply said that the driver door must be unlocked! Can't push dash buttons if you are not in the car!

But you can be in the car with the doors locked.

And just how is this different from the first post?

What if the doors are open and the car is in park, and engine off?

Driver door could still be locked.

In addition there is no noise when pushing the dash buttons, and as I said the key fob works perfectly, pushes both cargo doors well open like four inches open
