If you have been using it and it's been working I am sure you know this but....
At least on my 2011 - It's "Lock", "Lock" again then "hold the Start button"

 

Hmm. I unplugged the battery and it started by remote once.

I have to wonder about hood sensor now. Definatly a possibility. I'll have to look up the cost but if it isn't totally expensive, I may just get one and fix it or at least eliminate one possible cause......

It may have a thrown a code, but not an engine light. If that is the case then it won't start.
To check you hood sensor. Open the hood and reengage the latch while hood is open then try remote start.
