Here are pictures of the one I installed on mine.

is it possible someone had a tow bar hooked to this car? Maybe it was towed behind a travel trailer or something?
A lot of us have went to lowes and bought gutter screens and made a screen or guard to protect ours.

You are absolutely correct. Blue Ox tow bar. I think I will leave it in place and use what's on the BB to create an andaption... Thanks for your help! :)

Did you tell them about the bulletin? You could also remind them that this is standard equipment on all non-SS HHRs built since 8/27/2007. If it wasn't warranty they wouldn't have put a warranty labor operation code in the bulletin.

I put one on mine and the claim paid with no problems at all. I will send you a copy of the bulletin to take to the dealer if you PM your email address to me.

Oh no! I have a 7/07 2008 model, will look tomorrow and see if I'm covered. I will vouch for Good Chevrolet in Renton - but if I have to I'll pay to have a cover put on.

Just wanted to let everyone know i took my 06 tp the dealer for air not working and found a rock had popped a hole in the condensor!! so at first they said no coverage 650 you have to pay to fix!!
So i got on this site found this thread called them then emailed them the thread and now they contacted me stating they will pay for everything including the new rock gaurd!!!
I will still be installing the mesh lower grill gaurd just for a secondary precaution!! But thanx to all who persued this issue and got the info for me to use as ammo in my argument on liability!!!!

I looked under there and it has the cover, even 7/07 build date.

So if I have an 07 built in 06 I'm at the dealers mercy (well you know what I mean) if they will install the guard or not? I have a billet grill already but that doesn't stop a heck of a lot....

If they hardball me I may just buy 1 for a little extra protection

I'm not sure if this will help anyone, but my car was built about a month before the "accepted" time that this was supposed to cover - and it has the guard. Just FYI.

Got an oil change and mentioned the guard. He said they had to order and it was free. I wasnt having any problems with temp. or cooling. He stated when they replaced it that the gutter guard I had on was better than the bandaid chevy made. So now I have gutter guard, chevy guard and going to add a bullit grille as soon as it cools off here. If I get a hole on the ac cond. part, It will be from a front end collision.
