RPM limit safety

While in park, I want to power up my RPMs for diagnostic purposes. But, there is that safety or limit control that only allows RPMs to go so high.
Whats the work around?
Can I pull a fuse or something?
Anyone?

You would need a Tech II or equal to bypass the limiter.
Maybe if you stated a little info about what you're trying to do a diagnostic on.

So either there is no issue, or you don't want to tell us what it is, and that's fine.

But we're not knowingly going to advise you how to intentionally bypass safety protocols.

How far can I rev the engine without a damping load before it flies apart?

You have to remember that 4 cylinder engines are inherently un balanced; the counter shafts help at normal operating conditions, but the don't at outrageous conditions.
