Scored Rotors at less than 10K
Scored Rotors at less than 10K
I just joined the HHR SS owners club, and for the most part I couldn't be happier with the car! I purchased the car from a Chevy dealer and I am wondering if the rotor problem will be taken care of by the warranty. I have a '09 with the upgraded front Brembo brakes. Just before I took delivery of the car, I asked the dealer to do something about the rotors and what I got was lip service.
Anyway, I want to bring it to another dealer. I know brakes are like a gray area with the warranty because it depends on how you drive, but shouldn't these be covered since they wore out so early? Has anybody been to a dealer who took care of this issue?
Thanks for you help!

I would have to see what you mean by scoring.
Some wear marks are acceptable and normal some are not. If they are abnormal the dealer should take care of it.
Too often some people think what is normal is abnormal and that is when some things do not get taken care of. Open wheels have attributed to more issues that most people used to never see.
If you could post a photo it would help us to see what you mean. You may have a legit case here bit it is too hard to tell with out seeing it.
