Seat belt issue

So i got a random service airbag light, then the drivers side seat belt got stuck fully retracted when i got in the car a couple days later, took the car in and was told they had to replace the module, picked it up today and everything was fine, the wife and i got in and out 4 or 5 times then just now we went to get back in and the passenger side is now stuck fully retracted, anybody else have this problem or know what could be causing this? thank you in advance for any light on the subject.

David,

Since you have posted that you have had the vehicle into the dealership for this within the past few days, I would get the vehicle back to them. Let them know that this is a re-occurring situation. If you would like assistance with setting up an appointment let me know. If you don't need my assistance with this type of thing, then let me know any updates that they provide you with about this.

Sincerely,
Michelle, Chevrolet Customer Service

Thank you for the info, i will give them a call and see what they say, the dealership i got the car at is a multi brand car lot and not a chevy dealership, can i take it to any chevy dealership as the one i got my car at is almost 100 miles away and i have a chevy dealership about 10 minutes from my house, again thank you for the info.

You´ll require to pull and pull again the seatbelt until the movement sensor disengages the loocking wheel and the webbing sensor. This task needs to be performed on a flat surface (These retractors are designed to lock on ramps/angles above 15°). Another possibility is that the tip of the movement sensor is stuck with the plastic cover and frame of the seat belt. This would require to remove the side white plastic cover, remove and re-attach the housing of the movement sensor. Is quite easy, because I know how. I worked on the company that made these seat belts (TAKATA). If I´ll be you, I just try to pull and pull until it disengages, or go to the dealer.
