I have a 2010 hhr...I unlocked the car with the key fob just fine. then it starts honking. power locks disabled. key will not start the car now. car with lock sign flashing...any ideas?

 

How many keys do you have? Try another if you have it... Sounds like it lost the chip-key info somehow. It's not seeing your key as valid.

 

Same ignition key you always use?
Or a dead battery?
Has anybody been doing anything around the steering column, especially the ignition?

Dead batteries can't give enough voltage to support the computers, they think their being stolen and sound the alarm. Don't close the rear hatch or you'll have to crawl through to manually open the lift gate. I always put a towel folded and placed over the latch plate!
