So I just took my car out today and saw that the car with a lock light was on, the brake light on, all gauges were going from 0 to their normal value then back pretty quickly, no power steering, seemed like the door lock was delayed too. I am imagining that this is an ECM issue but I haven't even started to look into it as I just sat down after getting back.

 

More likely the 4 bolts in the under hood fuse box are loose. They need to be gorilla tight.
Don't listen to this guy, just watch the procedure.

 

Do these bolts just come loose. Seems this is the first thing you guys go after.
I would look for codes first off and go from there.

 

Codes 1st always.

Then check voltage at the battery.

The seat all the fuses and crank down the fuse box.

It’s hardly ever the ECM. And when it “was,” it probably wasn’t, just some other bad connection go accidentally fixed.

 

The fuse box bolts A) do work loose over time an B) if the fuse box was ever removed they don't get tightened enough. Every time there is a no start after an engine replacement it is because the fuse box was not tight enough.

 

sorry everyone I lost access to my account on here and didn't get the chance to reply. I was able to open up the fuse block and tighten down the bolts and this issue hasn't happened since. I appreciate the help!

 

Thank you for confirming the bolts are possibly the problem, we like to suggest known and inexpensive solutions to try first! Can’t count how many times the ECM or a broken torque bundle valve have been replaced for no reason!!
keep it clean and drive it often!
