New problem popped up. 2009 SS. Randomly the service airbag light comes on while driving. Might come on for a few seconds and then go away for a week or two. Came on yesterday and stayed on all day. I've had the codes checked and nothing. Cleared the codes awhile back, but the problem resurfaced.

 

Have you had the recall work done?

 

Airbag codes need to be read by a SRS/SIRS reader and the light must be on. If the light is on there will be codes.

There are a few TSBs on the subject and I think a recall for 2009 models. You need the "Bxxxx" code to figure which one.

I just recently bought the car. I have no idea if any recalls have been addressed.
