Service ESC and Power Steering

Both of these pop up at the same time and I have no clue where to start, or even what is causing this.
also when this happens I lose connection to my odb2 port.

any one have similar experiences?

Are you loosing the OBDII port because of no power or no CAN signal? Does the scanner power up when you plug it in, if not, check the fuses and if you have a meter, make sure pins 4 and 5 are ground and pin 16 is 12V, even with the key off? If I was guessing I'd suggest a bad connection somewhere or a connector that's not fully plugged in or corroded. or maybe even a bad ground under the dash.

i should’ve clarified.

I get a “no link” reading in my code scanner. Only does this when those two issues come up.

Then you have a battery wire problem. I would start by looking at the rear connection on the outside of the under hood fuse box; that wire goes to the power steering.
