Service traction light.
I’ve been trying to diagnose what wrong with my traction control system but can’t find the answers I need...
Start up the car and the tc/esc come on and stays on. If i’m Driving and put it in neutral and turn off the ignition and restart it the tc/esc lights don’t pop on until I come to as stop. Now if I stop the HHR with the E brake using the above method the tc/esc will not come on, however if I depress the brake pedal the tc/esc Light come on.
Does anyone have an idea what could be malfunctioning? All the harnesses are tight and the wires look good, I also checked the brake fluid that’s fine too.

It sounds like a hub problem, but to determine which one you need to use a OBDII code reader that will read more than just the basic engine codes. Did you check the wiring for the system at each hub - could be a broken wire or bad connection.
I checked all the wires and connections. I’m not so sure it’s the hub sensors. I can stop perfectly fine time after time with the E brake and even sit in park, but if I depressed the brake pedal while stoped the tc/esc lights pop on. Frustrating as hell. Also I changed both hub bearings over the summer.
I know this sounds crazy, but check the air pressure in all your tires. This happened to me last night SERVICE ESC on the DIC. Sure enough, I had a really low tire. Inflated tire and light has not come on since.
