The I/PC only displays the odometer data from the BCM. In case you still don't believe me here is an excerpt from "the book".

My odometer doesn't work on my 2007 HHR. Everything else on the panel does. I talked about this months ago...just still haven't got the problem resolved yet.

That should be "odometer" not "speedometer".

Did you go back to whoever sold the car?
Does a code reader read the correct VIN?
Did you read the previous thread?

I guess I could move all of these post to the old thread so we don't get any more confused..
