Hello fellow HHR owners. First, I've used some information from these threads to make repairs to my car -THANKS to everyone who provides repair instructions. My issue and question are as follows -

1. My shifter handle button no longer works properly, i.e. stuck inward. The shifter seems to easily move out of whatever gear it's in even with the car ignition off. And yes, the key does stay stuck when I turned the car off (I use the little button compartment on the underside the steering column to dislodge it). Does replacing the handle take care of the shifter staying in gear properly, or do I need to replace the whole shifter unit?
