Speakers work in high heat
Speakers work in high heat
I have a 2010 hhr with speakers that work at 96 degrees or higher. It seems the higher the temperature the better the speakers work. Everything is stock. Can any one tell me what 's going on here.
You have an LS model with the standard 6 spear radio , the speakers get moisture in them and the coils start acting funny, time for 4 new door speakers! We have many many how to threads and Crutchfield is a great source of information as to speaker size and adaptors, to make the job easier.
Don't worry, soon they won't work at all. The base speakers are self-destruct mechanisms. If they were designed to fool people into replacing perfectly good radios, they were a great success.
There are several threads here that cover speaker replacement.
