new here, great and helpful site. when i open the car in the garage to leave a few times the speakers have put out static real loud. the car starts fine. also the car stalls out sometimes for no reason and i was thinking it has to do with a ground. the main harness was up against the motor and started to melt the wiring harness. took it to the dealer and used a piece of heater hose to keep the heat off it and said its good to go and 100.00 bill. still stalls and i gave a real bad writeup for the dealer. they got back to me and said thats all they can do it good. chevy said they would not replace it either. it does not throw a check engine light. it may stall 3 times in 1 day then not again for a week. 2006 hhr lt with 56000 miles. would be thankful for any help coming my way. thanks tim

 

Have the ignition recalls been done?
If the harness was melting it needs to be replaced.
Sometimes the halves of the fuse box get loose.

Welcome to the site, I'd inspect the fuse box and all ground connections first.
