Still dinging
#21
The WHITE wire on the ignition switch is the key in sensor.
The following items are connected to it, if any are stuck they could cause the ding
relay #51 underhood; check to see if it is stuck ON
park/neutral switch on the transmission
back up lights, signal from park/neutral switch.
heated seats
ABS computer
I am thinking the park/neutral switch may be the problem except the doors lock and the DRL comes on when you put it in gear.
Since it was doing it when you got it I would guess that a previous owner did something to the wires. Maybe spliced into the white wire thinking is was a switched circuit like in the 1960's.

So with key in ignition, door open, it chimes. When you remove the key, does the chiming change(faster)?
#25
no it locks fine with the remote, the security light on the dash flashes, the horn chirps and the lights flash when the button is pushed twice. The chime sounds when the key is removed and the drivers door is open
#27
Ok, so the fast chimes are for the headlights, so it isn't that.
The other doors ajar chime is only when key is "on", so it's not that.
It comes back to the car thinks the key is still in the ignition. You've replaced the switch, maybe it's the lock cylinder?

This feature will delay the actual locking of the doors and liftgate when the power door lock switch or remote keyless entry transmitter is used to
