Jinked myself, broke again. I went by Oriley's and they didn't have anything like these, where did you get them?

Check with Chevy. They mailed me an extra part as part of a recall. Something about the latch piece breaking easily and opening during a wreck.

Yea, I got that it was installed when it was in for some sort of warranty work. Hummm, wonder if that piece put too much stress on the latch. Part that broke is where the latch mounting screws go into the lid. So it would be the lid that needs to be replaced. I just need to get the latch reattached to the lid.

go to ebay and enter chevrolet emblem license bolts they have some there. Or put in a search engine and many show up at various suppliers. The ones I used had plastic screws for easy cutting, many i found online have metal screws. Good luck

Went by a PepBoys in Smyrna and they had these in packs of 4 with metal screws. SO I just picked up a set of the nylon screws to use since the logo is only held on with a retaining cap that the screw goes into. I didn't want to have to cut a metal screw with the lid in place. I figure you just screwed the plastic screw into the hole for the latch? Looks like that will work.

yep and I had to file down the plastic nut a little bit so the lid would close properly.

Did it tonight. Had to do some cutting as well as remove that piece of crap piece they added to it years ago. It took away too much clearance. WOrks great now...

THanks for the tip....
