I'm noticing now that it's making the noise around town. It still has a very disitinct hum. I'm going to look at the exhaust tonight and see if I can notice anything. If not, I'm chalking it up to the bearing.

I will guess at hub bearing and crack in flex pipe.

 

 

So, I took a look at the flex pipe. As best I can tell, the pipe and the gasket look like they're in good shape. I don't see any cracks or leaks.

My local Chevy service will have to look at it. I'm at a loss.

 

I took it in on Saturday, and it was the right front hub bearing. $550 later, it's fixed and my car sounds like it's back to normal.
