Sunroof control panel

Car: 2006 HHR 2.2 LT

Sunroof: Webasto Hollandia 730 (or 735) Link

Hi, all.

A while back, I had to pull the cables on my battery while I worked on some things. At the time, I wasn't using my sunroof, but the weather is getting nicer so I tried using it again. It appears the controls are not doing what they are suppose to do. If you click the link above, you will see on the right side a picture of the roof control, which has a 1, 2, C, Forward Arrow, Backward Arrow.

What's happening is the arrow and Close (C) buttons do nothing, and the 1 and 2 are performing the actions of the arrow buttons. Technically, the roof works, but the controls are completely screwed up. I tried asking Webasto for some advice, but they said reset it by holding buttons, which didn't work

Anyone have this problem before and find a solution?

So I'm assuming this is an aftermarket sunroof and not a factory unit. Is this correct? If so, sorry but can't help you . Not familiar with that control.

Since they want you to "reset" the sunroof controls, it seems to me that there is some sort of processor involved MCHHR, do you know which fuse the sunroof is fed by? If you do, pull that fuse for a few minutes, then reinstall it to see if the controls are unscrambled.

I'm pretty sure it's factory installed, but not 100% as I bought the car used (from a local car lot) with no real paperwork about the car.

@843de: I'm not entirely sure which fuse is feeding the sunroof. Looked at the fuse box under the hood and didn't see a labeled fuse for it. There aren't fuses inside the vehicle as well, is there? I couldn't find any panel to remove for them if there is. My luck it will be under the headliner

There is a second inner fuse panel located in the passenger side foot well area, its part of the center stack that comes down from the dash to meet the console between the seats.

Here's a copy of the '06 owners manual in PDF form for you, just click the link below.....

http://www.extendedgmwarranty.com/ow...vrolet-HHR.pdf

The inner fuse panel is on page 5-83.

Those controls do not match any I've ever seen in an OEM sunroof application for the HHR, so I'm pretty sure its an aftermarket installation.

If you would like to provide me with the VIN of your HHR, I would be happy to research the build information. Please, feel free to do this via private message.

**UPDATE**

Just wanted to let you know that I was able to fix the sunroof. Thanks 843de for telling me about the fuse box on the passenger side. That's exactly where the two fuses were wired. I pulled and re-seated them. All good now

I have had this problem 2 or 3 times in the past months or so. I will look for the fuse see if it works. Thanks!
