My 2007 has the first O2 sensor in the exhaust pipe past the flex pipe, I believe the 2008 also was the same.

Here is a link to the results for a 2006 2.4

https://www.rockauto.com/en/catalog/chevrolet,2006,hhr,2.4l+l4,1432558,exhaust+&+emiss ion,exhaust+manifold,5860

They seem like they are the same results.

And if you look at the pictures in the Dorman post, you’ll see the plug where the O2 sensor goes.

Most likely a stock picture, they never show the exact part just one close enough.

Here's a perfect example of a lying mechanic. That shop told me they didn't know why the dealer couldn't decode it because it was such a simple problem.

But yeah I do make pretty stupid statements. Not gonna argue with that.
I suspect what you are calling the reserve we call the radiator. The normal place to check coolant level is in the expansion tank. The radiator cap shouldn't be opened when the engine is hot. As the engine cools, the pressure drops in the cooling system and atmospheric pressure pushes coolant from the expansion tank into the radiator. You might see coolant swirling in the radiator if the thermostat is open as the engine warms up.

That work in "old-fashioned" cars that have a tank on the top of the radiator, not so much when the pressure cap is down line. And you should never see swirling in the "over flow" tank, unless this is a 2006-early 2007 with a surge tank.

So really there’s no update needed my car runs normal now. But here it is:

Sorry for the delay. My phone’s motherboard is permanently broken now (it was getting old anyway) so I have a new one with NO photos of my manifold now! But the original exhaust manifold was rusting and had a huge crack in the Y near where it connects to the cat. It seemed like it should have fell apart in half but it was holding together somehow. Probably with rust because it was really heckin rusty.

But now there’s a shiny new one in there. My air filter is really rattly so I have to reseat it but otherwise no problems.

My cat was in good shape. My fuel pump has a small leak but is technically still good. The shop found no other leaks. And my engine sounds normal now.
