Fuel rail reading update! And mysterious ticking noise fix!

Hello! Just another update on my car. I recently had my timing chain guides and bolt replaced, and my car purrs SMOOTH now. NO MORE TICKING!!! Not even a little bit. So these things definitely don’t have a natural cicada-like background hum to them like I was wondering. I thought it was quiet after my exhaust manifold was replaced but now, it’s amazing. If you have a mysterious ticking noise that gets louder when pressing the gas, especially at 2.5 rpm, and sounds like summer cicadas in the background, consider the timing chain! My timing bolt was totally trashed and the bottom guide was not in good shape. Also did the seals and the solenoids.

THE FUEL TEST UPDATE::::
It’s my camshaft position sensor. I’m sure of it. The engine light came on so I read the codes and thought OF COURSE. It also says it could be a VVT solenoid but those are both new, I replaced them with the timing chain and replaced them just before that too, when I got my supposedly “false alarm engine light” inspected. Symptoms are rough starts, longer than usual starts, TERRIBLE gas mileage and going down, rough idle on startup, and shuts off on startup about once a month these past few months since I tested it, and engine light comes and goes. It’s getting worse. I should check the fuel rail again :) just for fun... and peace of mind... the camshaft position sensor is in the mail on rush from Rockauto! It’s only $30.

The other option for the codes is the whole camshaft could be bad. Sooo yeah I haven’t even looked into that just hoping it’s the sensor👌🏻 I’ll give another update after the sensor is installed and I check my fuel rail again.

Or the timing chain could be off by one link! It’s happened, mine was while changing the timing chain, I didn’t double check my work, that triggered a P0016 code.
thankfully no piston contact , just had to reset the marks and links , it was the crankshaft sprocket, off a tooth.

Hope it’s not that 😵 I paid a pretty penny for that job and besides that I don’t want any disastrous consequences. I didn’t trust myself to do it! I took it to a special shop that I really like and trust, so if it’s that, I’m out of luck on mechanics.

Check the wire connections at the VVT solenoids

Oldblue,
The part I replaced that solved the P0013 was the Camshaft Position Actuator Solenoid if that helps. But on RockAuto it’s called the Camshaft Position Sensor. https://www.rockauto.com/en/catalog/...on+sensor,7192

I’m assuming intake because it’s on the front of the engine.

If you mean the solenoids I replaced with the timing chain a couple of months ago, it was the VVT Solenoids. I hope this helps someone at all :/

P0013 refers to the exhaust.
