TC light comes on if car sits idling
The TC only comes on after we've been driving for awhile and then you put it in park with the engine running. There are no codes. i have checked them myself. after the car is turned off for awhile the light goes off and the shifting goes back to normal. Any thoughts?

A sensor in you hub is probably out.
There are codes, but not check engine codes, so you can’t read them with a normal obd reader.

You have four hubs with a sensor in each, the dealer charges $100 to tell you which one is the problem, but hopefully someone on here knows of a obd scanner that will work to read those codes?

You can not check codes with a regular obd scanner, you must have one that can read traction control and abs codes.
If anyone on here knows of a scanner that worked for them please list it here as I am also looking to buy one to read my traction control codes.

It is the Actron CP9660. It lists the HHR as a chevy truck.

I bought this scanner to find out which hub was causing the ABS light to come on intermittently:

Its a bluetooth scanner that plugs into the OBD connector and transmits to your smart phone. The bluedriver app is free, the scanner is $99. It also can real-time monitor whatever signals that you select. It works real well every time I have used it. Their web site lists what codes it can read for any specific vehicle. I believe it reads all codes for the HHR except airbag codes.
