The analog gauge is fed by the same data as the digital. It is not very responsive it is basically OK or too hot. Don't worry about it, there might be some dirt in the mechanism.

Because the engine is higher than the rad, it is critical to be sure you don't have any trapped air pockets. Those could be in the head.
Many find that parking on a grade with nose (front end) uphill helps.

The problem is the the analog gauge NOT the temperature.

This shows that the thermostat is open and the radiator might becoming clogged for some reason. Normally a temperance difference of 20*F between top and bottom hoses is OK. Using a infrared heat gun (IR gun) would really help in this situation.
If it never runs hot then don't worry to much about this.

Well I went this morning and bought a GM Thermostat and GM coolant senor and changed out. Still no analog gauge AC works No Codes and the Digtal read out is good. I know a lot of people would keep driving it but this has bugged me to death. What’s next? Do the stepper motors go out on these like they do silverados and Tahoe did back in the day.
